Trombonist, Roger Marks, has been a fixture in the British trad/swing scene since the late 1970s when he worked with Rod Mason’s hot band.

Roger began leading his own band in the late 1980s. He has run several bands during his career, but Roger Marks’ Armada Jazz Band has always been his best-known and best-loved band.

During lockdown, Roger went through all his recordings and found these wonderful tracks all previously unissued.

Roger Marks and his band are now back on the jazz scene post lockdown with Roger occasionally playing trombone in his good friend Pete Allen’s band too.

Upbeat Jazz is delighted to release this album.
